It reminds me of Hannah Horvath's statement in Girls about "finally becoming the person I'm meant to be." On the outset it sounds a little self-involved, but I think everyone can identify with wanting to feel more comfortable truly accept themselves for who they are.

I empathize so much with your body/clothes conundrum. It seems like we're both working on becoming familiar with our bodies as they are (and as they seem to be staying!), which is a pretty big deal when it comes to buying clothes. The clothes we wear don't necessarily define us as individuals, but I definitely feel like they exemplify certain facets of our personalities. I ADORE that you're beginning to find your style niche as a chic-jeans-and-cardigan girl. I feel cardigans and sweaters are imbued with that certain academic and introspective vibe, which makes perfect sense considering that you're a reader and a writer. Plus, you just look so damn good in them! Next up, elbow patches!

Also, I really appreciate you accompanying me on my trip to the Clinique counter. I feel like it was a smashing success because we both got what we wanted: you, the opportunity to confirm your suspicions that you don't need makeup to feel comfortable, and for me to indulge in the magical, feminine world of cosmetics I never felt ready to explore until now. But seriously, that mascara looked FABULOUS, haha!heroettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16564422197194855284noreply@blogger.com
